Get Your Tickets Early to Upcoming Showbox Shows

We didn't go to a single concert at the Showbox last year. Ok, so we saw Obama at the SoDo, but that's not nearly the same thing, even though there were bands preceding the politics. It's most unusual for us to have a Showbox-free year, that's for sure.

But along with that Gutter Twins show in March, there're a few more events on the Showbox calendar that are worth buying tickets for in advance (especially since a couple are certain to sell out):

Editors with Hot Hot Heat and Louis XIV at the Market - Monday February 4th - all ages.
The last time Editors were in town, they played a Chop Suey show so sold out that arriving for the opening-opening act, you were faced with two lines of people outside the venue: those who already had tickets and were waiting for the entrance bottleneck to clear and those who didn't have tickets and were hoping for a miracle. Never underestimate the kids' love of Britrock.

DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist present The Hard Sell with Kid Koala at the Market - Sunday February 10th - 21+.
This sample-heavy show has had fans feenin' since it was announced last November. DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist together was enough to make this turntable-off a must-see, so the addition of Kid Koala to the bill merely seals the deal.

Justice with Diplo and Fancy at the SoDo - Monday March 24th - all ages.
The MySpace music tour comes to SoDo with three electro acts in tow. Justice, the French house duo (not to be confused with Daft Punk) known for a dance-happy single, had things crazy at Neumo's last October. Does that mean this time they'll actually plug in and utilize all their gear? Non.

Hot Chip at the Market - Tuesday April 22nd - all ages.
How long has it been since Hot Chip played Seattle? Since they canceled their last show in July, we're guessing it was November 2006. Considering the new, highly anticipated album Made in the Dark comes out next month, the British electropop quintet have plenty of material to cover.

All tickets for the above shows can be purchased via Ticketmaster or the Showbox box office at the Market location.
