Stalk of the Town: Jan. 11-13, 2008

This weekend's highlight for Geoff will be a Brewer's Dinner at The Collins Pub held by Hair of the Dog Brewery from Portland. 6 courses paired with 6 beers, plus a few special releases to boot. As a Bears and now semi-Seahawks fan, he'll be hoping that Brett Favre breaks a hip during Saturday's Seahawks game at Lambeau Field.

Aside from the glamorous task of replacing the gutters on his house, Jack's weekend pretty much revolves around his living room, some friends, and the Seahawks. Here's to an impenetrable defense and to Hasselbeck not throwing wonky passes.

The documentary about the kid with Asperger's, Billy the Kid, opens tonight at SIFF Cinema, and MvB is going. Saturday he's off to the U-District Farmer's Market to pick up some Wooly Pig pork!

After not sleeping much on Thursday night, Kim will spend Friday catching some zzzs. Saturday brings some morning "research" for a future issue of Sound, and a killer evening of country blues at the Tractor with Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and their guest, the accordion-wielding former Seattleite Jason Webley.

Ronald will put on his opera duds for the Sunday matinee performance of Pagliacci. Vesti la giubba! Loosely translated: "On with the show!"

Friday night Tera may visit a friend in Madison Park and indulge in a mojito at Cactus. Saturday she will truck to Tacoma for an amazing dinner at the best Italiano place ever, Marzanos. Sunday is where the real fun begins - an all day ski trip to Crystal.

Specifics are hazy, but at various points this weekend James hopes to see Juno, go out for dinner, play with his camera, and get closer to finishing season 4 of The Wire so he can start watching season 5.

An incongruous Saturday for Seth. By day he'll be grilling sausages without a shirt on and screaming for the Hawks. By night he'll be in a suit at the opening of Pagliacci.

This is Katie's first weekend in Seattle in nearly a month and now that her jetlag is behind her, she's headed to The Swingside Cafe to refuel on Aglio Olio. A trip to The Spanish Table is also in the cards because although her body is no longer in Barcelona, her stomach is. This girl needs some rioja and turron, stat.

After a weekend of fun with family and friends in San Francisco, Courtney will let her geek flag fly all week at Macworld.

The holidays forced a break for Charles' friendly monthly poker game, but it's back on tonight and he's feelin' lucky. Saturday, he'll probably end up watching the Seahawks at the Montlake Ale House, but only cause his Godson will be there.
