Stalk of the Town: Dec. 14-16, 2007

Making up for weeks of hibernation and workaholism, Kim will hit the parties this weekend. Tonight, she’ll don her Groucho glasses for a lesbian function at Jabu’s celebrating the births of her two favorite Sagitarii. Saturday, it’s to the War Room for a company party with the missus and her workmates. Finally, she’ll ship off to the sub-tropics on Monday, where she’ll spend what remains of 2007.

While his wife is taking a Wilderness First Responder Class, Charles has a busy weekend of events planned. Tonight it's Clockwork Reduction Live at Northwest Film Forum with his sister in law and her man. After getting done with whatever that turns out to be, he'll be at the High Dive watching The Purrs. Saturday he'll keep his fingers apart and dance the afternoon away with his Godson at Baby Loves Disco.

This is the weekend the universe has determined that Dan will spend violently ill. He may have had a bunch of cool stuff going on, but his new plan is to lay on the couch wrapped in blankets and consume ibuprofen by the fistful and fluids by the bucket.

In a quest to become the first person in history to watch seven hours of high school basketball on one Saturday, and seven hours of Russian epic cinema on the next Saturday, Seth will be seeing parts I and II of War and Peace at SIFF.

Striking 12 at CHAC is the "holiday musical for people who don't like holiday musicals," which means it's aimed right at MvB, who's catching the last performance on Saturday. Then, if his health holds up, he'll catch all seven hours of War and Peace for the second time, on Sunday.

Dave F. and his beloved and their daughter will be riding the Santa Train this Saturday. Tickets are sold out again this year, but if you have a Veruca on your hands, you may want to try the festive scalpers on Craigslist. Or, save some money and just tell your willful one that Santa has come down with whatever Seattlest Dan has.

Audrey will spend the weekend getting the hell out of Dodge. Hello sunshine and warm weather!

The festive photo above (the aptly named "Happy Holidays From the Lusty Lady") comes from ERIK98122 who placed it the Seattlest Flickr Pool. Have you joined yet?

Why get your picture taken with plain old Santa when you can have your picture taken with Elvis instead? It's for kids (Pop Tots is a kids store), but anyone can come and bring their pet or just get a picture of themselves and the King. Bring your own camera, there'll be cupcakes from Cupcake Royale. There's a cool tatoo parlor next door if you want to hit it first. Pop Tots, 6405 Roosevelt Ave., Ravenna, 206-522-4322, www.poptots.net.
