Wow. Just wow. So typical Seattle to hate on cyclists just for eating somewhere. Why don't you all just get back into your SUVs and start leaving your obese Sasquatch carbon footprints all over someone else's city???

I love Kingfish. Every time I visit Seattle I make my friends take me there.

Being there before the cyclists is, indeed, disturbing. But showing up directly after they have left a table is truly traumatic. Two words:

SADDLE SWEAT

Appetizing, no?

J, those cyclists! Man, it was like the Wild Ones. We came in the door and immediately the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife, moms holding their children, babies sobbing. We halted and backed slowly out without attracting their attention, holding our breath until we made it to the sidewalk, and then we just sprinted back up 19th.

You can probably tell, I'm still shaken.

Yes, I've been meaning to say something about the roaming cyclist gang. Since you only mention in passing as convenient lede and disturbing picture (nice work!), that leaves an entire post for me to pick up the thread. You'll also find the lycra crew at Tully's which is another reason not to frequent. As for Kingfish, duh. But it's only the 2nd best brunch on 19th Ave.

+1 on Twilight Exit

Happy hour until 8pm means I don't have to skip work to enjoy cheap(er) beer! Now if someone could fix the Tetris joystick...
