I also take back my reflexive UW-student snark. It's just that I was sitting at the bar and this kid comes up to order and puts his hand up in the air. The cash register program had crashed so the bartenders weren't paying him any attention, so he actually supported his raised arm at the elbow with his other one and waved a little if he caught a bartenders' eye in the mirror behind the bar. Finally one turns around and goes, "We've got a little issue with the cash register, we're not ignoring you." And he goes, " Oh -- yeah -- I mean, no, I didn't mean -- I'm just like, you know, it's like grade school, got my hand in the air."
