Seattlest Trivia Tonight: Revenge of the Rasp

hacks.jpgHere's the thing: we're hosting trivia tonight. And, in a refreshing change, our voice is less Gilligan yodeling for the Skipper and more Will Arnett narrating the Grindhouse trailer for Don't.

That comes at a price, though, since it's due to a friendly virus brought home by our toddler. Our voice may give out entirely, or we may just not be able to amp it up to our usual volume.

We'll be there for you, trivia fans. But if anyone would like to help out by stepping up to the mic, even for one round, that would be more than helpful. It'd be end of It's a Wonderful Live life-affirming. Barring that, we'll blow out our voice for you, because we care.

Other than that, expect the usual: 80 questions, a round on geography, a round on movies, two picture rounds, and a tenuous balance between keeping things easy enough not to be discouraging and not so easy some team racks up 75 points.

The quiz starts at 8:00, though the bar has a strong desire for us to finish by 10:00 so don't be surprised if it starts a bit early. Signup will start about 7:40. If the last few weeks are any indication, tables will be a scarce resource earlier than that.

Where? The Old Pequliar, of course, as usual. There will be 3 tacos for $2, cider on tap, cash prizes for the top 3 teams, and swag for the valiant effort that puts a team in last place.

See you there.

I can also tag in for a round if needed...

Awesome. Well, I'll look for the special trivia flag that's raised when a host needs vocal support.

  • Yes and yes. I put each round on a separate sheet of paper, so there would be no unfair advantage involved.

Of course, you can't help your team during any round that you're reading, because I do put the answers on the same sheet as the questions.

I'd be happy to step in if needed but, if I step in for a round, can my team still play that round? And can I go back to competing after that?
