Get Out Sunday: Pilates Open House

Pilates%20exercise%20stretch.jpg

Capitol Hill studio Pilates Body Fitness is celebrating their 5th year in the Capitol Hill Arts Center with an open house this Sunday. It's a good chance to stop in to check out the equipment, meet the instructors, and see if you're interested in giving this hippie holistic exercise bullshit a try. (Tongue-in-cheekiness aside, pilates is great, and we'd totally do it every day if we were an independently wealthy ex-trophy wife and/or trust fund kid.)

You can work on your core--private pilates sessions are available Sunday for $35 ($30 if you call and register ahead of time). Or get all counterproductive: just come by and eat some cake, care of Fremont's Simply Desserts. We've heard their strawberry white chocolate cake is divine, despite the fact that it contains white chocolate. If the promise of a stronger, more flexible version of you isn't enough to get you into a pilates studio, the promise of free cake should seal the deal.
