The best bet for tonight is the group effort/solo project Broken Social Scene presents Kevin Drew at the Moore. If you aren't familiar with the Canadian indie supergroup, get to learning.

Saturday night brings the Queen tribute extravaganza Halloqueen at Chop Suey, while New Young Pony Club will have asses shaking at Nectar. They're best known for the Intel ad song "Ice Cream," but here's NYPC's cover of Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam."

If you're looking for something a little more laidback for your Saturday, there's local singer-songwriter Carrie Akre at the Tractor. A clip from when she played the West Seattle street fair this summer:

The kids sure do like Boys Like Girls (playing Sunday night at El Corazon). But then again, they also like third-rate no-talents like Fall Out Boy.

Instead, opt for the literate hip hop of Aesop Rock at the Showbox.
