Mono - "Yearning"
We've seen Japanese rockers Mono enough times to know how much we're going to fawn over them in our future review post. With their constant touring they've honed themselves into one of the best live acts out there, and tonight's Crocodile performance should be just as wonderful as every other time we've seen them. We'll be slightly annoyed with some of the patrons there that won't know to shut the hell up, and we'll feel sorry for High on Fire, who are unlucky enough to play after Mono. We'll surely be grasping for the words to describe the Mono's set, since their music is so raw, so primal, so utterly visceral that words can't convey what it's like to be there, taking in the beauty of what the band creates. And because of that we'll feel sorry for any of you out there that ignore this post and don't go to the show tonight. Mono isn't just a band, they're an experience. Come see it for yourself.
Mono play the Crocodile tonight with High on Fire, Panthers, and Coliseum. Doors 8pm. $18.

If you like Mono, you should check this band out of Tacoma. They play Seattle here and there and it is always a cool show.
