It's still raining, but that's not stopping us this weekend. As we get ready to head out the door, the Seattlest staff is once again sharing our weekend plans in the hopes that we'll see you along the way.
Kim will be burning up the dance floor tonight for Gay Salsa Night at Century Ballroom after eating piles of sushi at Maneki. If she decides it’s worth breaking the bank, she might attend some silly lesbian party on Saturday at Showbox SODO.
True to his word, Charles is doing something you care about this weekend. He'll be at the Showbox on Saturday watching Blackalicious and and the sublime Lyrics Born. He is also planning a much-put-off trip to the Burke to see Yellowstone to Yukon and In Search of Giant Squid.
Seth's always wanted to see much-beloved Sarah Rudinoff, and he will tonight at The Murderers. Saturday is for Turkfest at Seattle Center, and later to Husky Stadium, where the House of Representatives has gathered to preemptively condemn Oregon's genocide of the Husky defense.
It's babysitter Sunday, so James is going to the movies--there are a couple of options--and out to dinner. He's voting for Gone Baby Gone and Pair.
After a sad goodbye at the airport Saturday, Tera is on her way to reunite with her favorite college buddies in Fremont. It's a mystery where we will end up, but our friends rum and Buckaroo may make an appearance. Sunday is all about Purple with Michelle.
Matt won't be going anywhere near any place showing that stupid Ben Affleck movie Gone Baby Gone because he already caught a free show of it earlier this week and despite the first two thirds being way better than anyone had any reason to expect (cool pulp noir goofball goodness), the final third is so lame it ruins it completely and turns into typical contrived stupid Hollywood bullshit. Instead he'll probably go bowling with a guy who looks like this and a perpetually drunk woman who sounds like this.
No, it's not that hat-wearing fish from the commercials, it's Chali 2na, formerly of Jurassic 5, performing with Galactic at the Showbox tonight. That is where you will find Courtney, wishing he could read her bedtime stories with that smoove bass voice.
As of mid-afternoon on Friday, Ronald has finally decided that he wants to make it clear to his editors and his clients that he will be working on their projects all fucking weekend. This means he won't have to go outside into the dismal weather.
Geoff will also be headed to the Showbox this evening ("I loves me some Galactic!"), and then tomorrow he's off to drink beer all day at Elysian's Pumpkin Fest. Sunday will be spent at Goldie's on 45th hopefully watching the Bears win.
Thanks for the photo sprizee who put Fog and Mist in the Seattlest Flickr Pool.
