This last summer, Josh Homme took Billy Gibbons' advice on how to be "the people's band," and instead of hitting places like NYC, Boston and Seattle, when Queens of the Stone Age launched a tour in support of their latest release, Era Vulgaris, they hit up the sort of cities major touring acts never play. Hence the name: the Duluth Tour. That's left Queens fans here in Seattle jonesing for a show. And at long last, our prayers have been answered. Just announced: QoTSA takes to the Paramount stage Tuesday, December 18.
Tickets go onsale officially this Saturday, but Seattlest's inbox has been inundated with presale offers. From ten this morning to ten o'clock tomorrow, visit the Ticketmaster website and through in the presale code: DANCE
Or, if that one doesn't work, go with: theend

And while you're at it, check out the Youtube vid above for an early, intense version of the modern classic "No One Knows."

Tuesdays are Muppet Days

i remember seeing them backing up nine inch nails at key arena last year - the crowd booed.
The Nine Inch Nails show was pretty bad; people who saw them at Sasquatch last year went away with a different impression. Unless of course they were there for the poorly scheduled follow-up, Death Cab for Cutie.
