Stalk of the Town: October 12-14, 2007
We start things off this weekend with a simple two words from Donte: Muthafucking Justice!
As Halloween approaches, it seems that the tradition of Seattlests stalking each other continues.
Seth will attend the opening night of the Seattle Opera's first ever co-production with New York's Metropolitan Opera, Iphigenia in Tauris, which is conveniently scheduled at the exact fucking same time as the Husky/ASU game. He'll try to catch the fourth quarter at the Spectator on Queen Anne Ave.
"Wait, Seth," shouts Ronald. He is also planning to get a history lesson at the Sunday matinee of Seattle Opera's co-production with New York Met about the Trojan War so maybe the game isn't out of reach?
Meanwhile, James is going to Mosby Farms in Auburn to get lost in their corn maze, and going to see Lust, Caution. Little Miss Seattlest will be coming along for one of these events.
MvB is going to read a book about defeating shyness (yes, but he'll be reading it in a public cafe) and may give brunch at Smith another chance. (First impression of Scotch egg not so good.)
Lucky Kim will be getting wined and dined at some as-yet-undisclosed location tonight, thanks to her lovely partner. Her dog will graduate obedience school on Saturday, and Sunday will be spent celebrating the General’s 30th birthday.
Seth and Ronald can have their opera what-nots according to Jack who is in need of a little treachery. He will be enjoying the much higher art of the Tony Award-winning musical MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT at the Paramount Theatre.
It's a mixed bag for Jeremy. He's going to see Bad Monkey Productions' Blue Surge tonight, and otherwise will spend the weekend tracking down a copy of Doris Lessing's The Golden Notebook while debauching himself with booze and zombie movies.
Continuing his series of weekends with too much to do, Charles finds himself heading to his mom's grape farm in Oregon to de-stem and crush this year's haul of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. He's getting paid in wine, obviously. He promises to do something next weekend that you care about.
Courtney will be watching the snowboarding movie masquerading as "documentary" Let It Ride at Central Cinema on Friday, and then traipsing off to Port Angeles to throw herself and her bike downhill with about twenty other women on Saturday. On Sunday she’ll be going to check out the Colonnade a bike skills area recently built under I5 near Eastlake"to look at how she can help build some additional trails there.
Teraplans to make an ass of herself bowling while drinking cheap beer and wearing shoes reaking of 1950. She also plans to stalk James in Auburn through the corn maze of death while not thinking of the 1984 George Goldsmith and Stephen King horror flick.
Clint’s going to see Kurt Cobain About a Son tonight and will try to see Haymaker & Sally, the locally-shot "baddest buddy cop movie Jerry Bruckheimer wishes he'd made," Saturday night at the Admiral, in the lovely black hole of West Seattle, Clint’s new neighborhood.
