Seriously, you describe the encore and you didn't even mention that it was Camper Van Beethoven playing on stage with Doug. Greg Lisher on guitar, Victor K on bass, Frank on drums (until replaced by Scottie), Lowery on guitar. All swapped instruments with BTS members except Doug. It was CVB's drummer Frank expertly removing the drums -- not a stage hand -- as Scottie from BTS held the rhythm section down with fewer and fewer parts left in his drum kit. You were definitely born post 1980.

They aren't afraid to rock hard which separates them from much of the "indie scene". And they are great songwriters as well. I saw them do a Free Bird cover back in 2001 at the Showbox and it was...bien.
