>>October 5-7, 12-14 @ CHAC: It's the next-to-last weekend of Theater Under Ground's Crime and Punishment. The Seattle Times says it's MUST SEE! theater. We're gonna go ourselves on Saturday. It's a "90-minute meditation on faith and redemption" performed by three actors playing multiple roles; unlike Gatz, it doesn't seem to include every word of the original. Tickets: $20 advance/ $25 at the door / $15 student. Doors 7pm, curtain 7:30pm.
>>October 7 & 8 @ On the Boards: 12 Minutes Max always features a boatload of creativity. This fall there's Today!, a post-indie pop/rock foursome made up of Paul Moore, Dayna Hanson, Maggie Brown and Dave Proscia; two solo theater works from Mary Purdy; a new solo dance piece from Dayna Hanson, with guitar score by Dave Proscia; songs by Leeni; OntheDouble (dutch)'s theatrical double dutch jump roping routines; Godfrey Daniels, aka Randy Minkler, a silent, larger-than-life, internally driven puppet; modern dance and beat-box from Paige Barnes; and Annex Theatre presents a short, funny play written by Bret Fetzer and Juliet Waller-Pruzan. Tickets: $8 (at the door only one hour before 7pm curtain).
