Tonight Earlimart, The Quiet Ones, and OFFICE play the Croc. We already said plenty of good things about Earlimart when they were in town last month, so this time we'll plug OFFICE. In their first ever video, the Chicago boy-girl glam-pop five-piece decided to insert themselves (huh huh) into clips from cheesy 80s porn. Despite the presence of Peter North, it's totally SFW.

have a two-night stand at Neumo's Saturday and Sunday. Also on Saturday, Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys have shifted venues and opening acts: now they're at the Paramount, sans The Coral, but with the Texas indie pop of openers Voxtrot. Here's the Monkeys playing "Fluorescent Adolescent" earlier this month on Letterman.

Sunday also brings the smooth beard-rock of Fleetwood Mac soundalikes Midlake.

Meanwhile, Ian Anderson, "known throughout the world of rock music as the flute and voice behind the legendary Jethro Tull" (playing at the Paramount on Sunday), really likes cats. Really.
