In Seattle, Duck Rides You!

ridetheduck.JPG
You haven't seen Seattle until you've seen it from under a Duck! Yesterday's minor collision downtown was captured on cell phone, thankfully. In fairness, these amphibious landing craft were developed by the U.S. Army during World War II, and that is a German vehicle. Take that, Jerry!

UPDATE: On-the-spot photographer brentvanw adds in the comments:

Please note that the Duck was full of awestruck tourists and they were listening to "tequila" and singing along while this scene unfolded. The driver was still on her mic after the man exchanged some heated words with her and she promptly climbed out and took a look over the bow and said "Is that you? Oh my."

That might be an expensive fender bender, Porshce Caymans are not cheap...really sweet though :)

I'm going to assume that the driver has been watching Ken Burns' "The War" and was overtaken by Anti-German sentiment.

I say, in honor of The Greatest Generation, let's rear-end every German or Japanese car we see! First I need to figure out how to rear-end myself.

I witnessed this and coincidentally took that photo. Please note that the Duck was full of awestruck tourists and they were listening to "tequila" and singing along while this scene unfolded. The driver was still on her mic after the man exchanged some heated words with her and she promptly climbed out and took a look over the bow and said "is that you? oh my."

What the hell do you expect when the Ducks drivers spend more time accosting pedestrians and pointing out non-Seattle related crap than paying attention to the road? I might have seen this very Duck a block or two West yesterday at full-stop in late afternoon rushhour traffic (green light) with the driver leaning over the side saying over the megaphone "HAW HAW LOOK AT THE PIGS, AREN'T THEY JUST GREAT?!" by the old pawn shop turned pig factory. Eff the Ducks.
