Rossi Inches Closer to What We Already Know

Dino%2520crisis%25202.jpgThe Republicans, learning from the mistakes of the Democrats in King County's Sixth, may decide to run a candidate against Governor Gregoire next fall.

The PI reports, in big letters above the fold, that Dino Rossi (the guy who may already be our governor) will probably run for governor. Well, no shit.

He's been holding un-official rallies, giving speeches, and raising money (WIIINNNK) for a few months now. Also, everyone in the state's GOP expects him to run, so if he ends up passing, he would be pissing off a bunch of gun-ownin', war-supportin', small government-wantin', closeted homosexuals.

Rossi hasn't served in an elected capacity since 2004, and passed up a chance to run for Senate, something he probably could have done better than Mike McGavick. This leads us to wonder how much he wants to serve the people, as opposed to how much he wants to be governor and all that it could lead to.

The article claims that an official announcement could come in October, and we could officially get to the re-match we've all been waiting for.

As a Democrat, Rossi actually got my vote in 2004 because of Gregoire's incompetence as AG. That was before all the partisan whining that he did at that time about the results of that election. Rossi will not be getting my vote again. And I'll safely bet that a lot of other people no longer like him either because of his previous partisan antics.
