It was awesome. A couple buddies and myself cruised out there before the MMW show at the Moore on Friday night to pre-funk like no other. The hops were out in full force, with pretty much everyone sporting a fresh-hopped variety of something. As a WABL member, I got the snazzy glass mug and extra-tall "3oz." pours (more like 8-10oz on average). I managed to make it through 15 of my 18 tokens and bestowed the honor of "full glass" on RAM Brewery's ZZ Hops. And that Harmon Vanilla Porter was probably my second favorite. The only vanilla beers I've had have ALWAYS been too sweet, so I was reluctant. But this wasn't too sweet (infact among the least sweet of the porters being poured) and amazingly good.

I haven't been to a Seattle-area brew fest before, and based on this one, I definitely am looking forward to the Winter Beer Festival.
