If you were looking forward to seeing the White Stripes later this month at the Paramount, you can forget it.
Their canceling their whole tour due to Meg White's "acute anxiety," reports our sister site LAist.
Said anxiety leaves her unable to travel. Poor kid.
The Seattle dates were Wednesday, Sept. 26 and Thursday, Sept. 27.
If you've got tickets, bummer. But you can get a refund where you bought them, and who needs the White Stripes anyway?
After all, Seattle has a plethora of other tremendous musical acts in town those nights! To wit:
On Wednesday the 26th, at Showbox, you can check out Dark Star Orchestra: "Re-Creating The Grateful Dead Experience!"
And on Thursday the 27th, at Triple Door, there's David Wilcox, "a friendly troubadour in this new Age of Anxiety" who "traffics in hope and a positive quest for meaning." (Maybe lil' Meg should be checking this dude out.)
Alternately, you could just drink yourself comatose until the next decent Paramount show, which we judge to be George Jones on October 7th.

Washington Leads the Country in Troubled Banks

The really unfortunate thing is that Cold War Kids were slated to open for White Stripes -- and those guys put on a hell of a show.
