I agree with all the negative press this restaurant has received. I've eaten Italian food in a hole in the wall in NYC that's a third of the price that would blow this place away. I can see how someone who has not eaten delicious homemade Italian food before would like it but not a real foodie. Also I don't know the owner but he made a total ass of himself on Chowhound. Seems like a self righteous arrogent creep. Also, Union sucks too. Expensive and totally mediocre. So in closing this guy is full of himself and his restaurants are more hype than substance.

I like the proposed name for the wine bar. But Queen Anne? In the words of my awesome roomie... "We don't go there." Sounds like you're supporting Tavolata with your wallet if not with your reviews! After the first dried out pork chop on top of a bad Negroni, I'd be spending my money elsewhere.
