What Kind of PR Firm Trolls Seattlest for Leads?
Apparently the same kind of PR firm that emails proposals from a yahoo account. So says our confidential source at Coastal Kitchen, who told us that, just minutes after Ronald Holden's hilarious, pun filed Seattlest screed showed up in her RSS feed, she was immediately bombarded by PR companies offering to help her "spin" this story.
Here's one that showed up via email (note the time stamp proximity to Ronald's post):

Hello [NAME REDACTED],
After reading a scathing blog and one contributors comments about you or your staff not being old enough to know anything about your "Casablanca" event - I would love to work with you to show them that they're completely wrong! I am willing to help promote another event or another idea complimentary, just to show that you all know exactly what you're doing, etc. If you're interested, please email me back at, [REDACTED]@yahoo.com.
Or give me a call at 425-[REDACTED]. Please check out www.[REDACTED].com and our icon for "Seattle Ideas" - it is an excellent place to advertise - your event would be complimentary! Best regards, [NAME REDACTED] - Founder/Owner
Everyone loves the idea of a bunch of highly paid PR ninjas sitting around in an empty white room with nothing but Seattlest on their monitors, waiting for the perfect opportunity to jump on the phones or email as soon as we post something. "Hello, Bicycle Hobo(TM)? Let us help you 'spin' this whole getting fired for looking at porn thing", etc.
But sending proposals from a free yahoo account? Ninja, please...
