P-I Getting Very Near to 'Doth Protest Too Much' Territory

721574221_0b7a8e135d_m.jpgThe P-I is still defending its decision not to run the random photo of Arab-lookin guys the FBI passed them last week, as if not participating in a man-hunt for two guys who happened to ask a question about the workings of the ferry in front of the wrong citizen detective is something that needs any more ink.

Robert Jamieson Jr says:

The trouble with public outings goes beyond these men being stripped of their rights to privacy. They weren't linked to a crime, such as, say, bank robbers caught on tape. They were snapping pictures and, we're told, acting too interested in vessel interiors and systems.

It is not a stretch to imagine the dangerous consequences when Uncle Sam deputizes the public. A citizen cowboy fueled by vigilantism could attempt to take the law into his own hands -- with horrific results.

Blah blah blah, yes, alright, you're right; profiling is bad and you've upheld the ideals that make this country great. Or you're wrong and you weakened our defenses. You're not going to convince the guys who so brilliantly demonstrated the right-wing wit in the Haiku Contest of Terror so why keep bringing it up? How about we get Jamieson Jr. on the spin team for that haiku contest, by the way. Poor Big Blog: attached to a serious news organization while simultaneously trying to keep things edgy (let's not contemplate the edginess of a haiku contest).

Good, because it's just another lie. Just like how 9/11 was an inside job, FOX is scripting another War- this time on Iran. King George has deployed the 265th an elite air defense unit that has the ability to down warheads, inside Washington DC. All the scripting going on around the nation is just more fear mongering and mind control. I would worry more about "government" soldiers in black uniforms in my town than I would worry about "arabs" on spy ferries taking pictures. Yes, I said Spy Ferries, as there is nowhere to stand on these spy ships where you are not under the view of the Occupation's Camera.
Don't buy into the lies of A.I.P.A.C. and their war for control of the ME and it's reserves....

We'll make sure to give you a call when they actually blow up a ferry with women and children on it. The comment above is ridiculous.

So what were they asking? Because a ferry is an everyday sight to anyone who lives in the seattle area. but for someone out of town, and some may be shocked by this.. A lot of places don't have boats that go two ways!

Papers have historically been editorial mouth-pieces for the 1st amendment.

I could not agree more, but I'm terrified by the Ann Coulter ad on this page, which I presume popped up in the tradition of some google ads-type generator.
