Actually, there's a little Friday night music from 5-6:30pm in Westlake Plaza, the Latin jazz sound of Sonando. Saturday the music runs from 11am-4:30pm, which is when the results of the sculpture competition get announced.

Right now, there's a few tons of sand and the in-progress "Polar Espresso" sculpture (not a competitor -- it's being built by the ace sand-sculpting team, The Orbital Sanders.) It may not surprise you to learn that SBUX is an event sponsor. God forbid there be one fleeting moment in our entire freaking lives without them trying to sell us a coffee beverage. But we digress. Anyway, the penguins are cute.
