Ten Sheriff's deputies were found by rescuers Sunday after a spending a night in the woods of southwest Washington. The officers were reportedly "removing" marijuana plants from an operation they'd busted when they suddenly became "disoriented."
"We were doing a great job, you know, removing the pot," one deputy said, "but then it was like, whoa! Where are we?"
Said another deputy: "Yeah and it was so beautiful out there right? There was this chipmunk, it was making these noises and looking right at me, like it knew me. And I just sat down in the dirt and thought, Wow."
Rescuers reported that the deputies were healthy and in good condition, if not a little messy.
"When we came upon their camp, there were Little Debbie wrappers all over the place," one rescuer said. "And it looked like one guy had tribal designs painted in mud on his chest. God knows what they went through last night."
Not to be discouraged, the deputies expressed that they are "looking forward" to the next pot removal operation.
"I don't care if we have to spend eight or ten or fifty nights out here. We're doing the right thing by eradicating these sinful, delicious and illegal plants."
