Weekend Music

Admittedly, this weekend is pretty dead. Here's what we got:

Tonight there's Flee the Century at the Blue Moon, along with Red Rapture and our dear friends in X-Ray Press. Behold the video for FtC's synth-heavy "Pinned by a Pinch."

Tomorrow night, skip shaving your armpits and join all the feminists and assorted rabblerousers at the Showbox for the fierce-as-ever Patti Smith. Lately, the lady's been performing a lot of covers, including Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Or you can catch the smooth and smoky jazz sounds of Diana Krall, if you're willing to venture out to Chateau Ste. Michelle. No word as to whether or not her esteemed husband will be in attendance.

Sunday starts to get interesting, with the first of two nights of the Yard Dogs Road Show at the Triple Door. The Yard Dogs offer something for everyone, with their admixture of performance art, dance, theater, burlesque, and over-the-top circus spectacle.
