i've been tossing soap in fountains since elementary school. toss in some industrial strength stuff and a dash of RIT coloring and you've got a technicolor wizard of oz remake.

Soap suds and soil particles may seem penny ante as pollution sources go. Soaping the fountain at Kinkos is not killing any marine life. Being mindful of our ecology is absolutely encouraged and we're all thankful for anyone's vigilance in that regard. I just had to point out that getting upset at some pranksters putting bubbles in a local fountain is precisely why alot of otherwise great assets to the greening of our cities turn a blind eye to our cause. Letting your babies and dogs play in said fountains is however an actual threat where bubbles are just a perceived threat that is pretty harmless. ...or maybe I just fed the trolls.

Foam is sexy. So is heroine. Kids should switch to save the water though. Oh, I wasn't being sarcastic... well, with the first bit I was, but honestly, I'd rather have people ODing on heroine than polluting the water and fish. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right.

Actually, this shit's not funny. It flows into the drains along the streets and then out into the Sound where it kills fish--drowns 'em, the can't breathe. Remember my rant against Seattle douchebags? This is a case in point.
