It's got Pirelli tires, modified exhaust, custom paint, and the driver's side once held the actual ass of an NBA player.
Starting bid is $30,000 for Brandon Roy's custom-built Dodge Charger in Trailblazer colors.

Unless Jimi Hendrix had some tricked-out psychedelic van that sprayed acid in gas form, this has to be the dopest car ever owned by a Garfield High grad attendee.
Although not the coolest a Garfield attendee's ever ridden in. Back in February, Quincy Jones rode along with a Fortune mag writer in an $8 million Maybach Exelero.
Jones has to be the coolest guy in history who never learned to drive. As he told Fortune, "When I was 14, I was a passenger in a terrible accident. After that, it never held any appeal."
No worries, Q, I'm sure whatever B-Roy's in now, he'd be happy to give you a lift. Hey, we're a Garfield alum, maybe we could ride around too! Guys? Guys????

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Did hendrix graduate from Garfield? I thought he went to an alternative high school near Garfield.
No, he definitely attended Garfield. I've seen the attendance sheets--also the SPL library has a copy of the yearbook.
Charles Cross's biography of Hendrix has a bunch of great info about his adolescence.
Ah--but you're right in that he didn't graduate from Garfield--dropped out and I don't think ever got his degree--I'll change that in the post.
