Weekend Music

As usual, this weekend offers approximately nine million live music options.

Kicking things off tonight is Soular at the High Dive. The Albuquerque-based quartet likes dirty bass lines, soaring choruses, Moog synths, and the occasional theramin.

Tomorrow night there's Slint at the Showbox performing Spiderland for all the post-rock lovin' dudes:

While at the Triple Door chanteuse Jesse Sykes plays her spooky and soulful Americana for the ladies:

Also on Saturday, Seaweed Jack brings their experimental sea shanties to the Comet (and to the Blue Moon next Tuesday the 24th):

Sunday night Brit rockers Maximo Park apply some pressure at Chop Suey:

And (as previously mentioned) the indie-meets-world music of Vampire Weekend at Neumo's.
