Now Here's a Show Worth Attending

nowthatswhaticallmusic.jpg

Yes, the line-up for Bumbershoot is more than underwhelming, but check this shit out:

John in the Morning at Night
Featuring: Maps, Vampire Weekend*, Jamie T.,
Das Llamas & Joy Wants Eternity

September 22nd, 2007
Crocodile Cafe
Presale Starts: Now
Presale Ends: Thursday, July 19th
On Sale to Public: Friday, July 20th
Password: JITMAN

With three big-time buzz bands on the bill and two solid local up-and-comers, a line-up that strong (and a venue that intimate) is gonna sell out in no time. We recommend you take advantage of the presale and get your tickets before Friday.

*As a side note, does this mean that we can skip Vampire Weekend's show at Neumo's this Sunday? Because we're really excited to hear their heavily-hyped Talking Heads/Paul Simon-leaning sound live, but, y'know, Sunday night....

Bumbershoot UNDERWHELMING???

WU! TANG! WU! TANG!

I hate to break it to you, but with ODB (still) dead, Wu-Tang ain't gonna be that great.

this show is a direct schedule conflict for the smashing pumpkins at endfest. egad.

ODB was, and still is, a side show. The heart of the group: Raekwon, Ghostface, RZA, and Meth (not to mention GZA on the controls) were what make Wu Tang who they are. Assuming they all show up (which I will grant you is a pretty big assumption), they will be entertaining and worth the wait.
