Ichiro Will Remain a Mariner

Both the Seattle Times and Fox Sports report he'll sign a five-year extension on Friday.

Fox says the deal's worth between $75-$90 million, the Times says it will "approach $100 million." ICH-I-RO!

I hate to say it, but doesn't Ichiro deserve better? It breaks my heart that the best years of his career have been wasted on a team that has never made it to the world series.
