Get Out Saturday: Doughnut Eating Contest (with the Saturday Knights)

It's been a while since Seattlest extolled the virtue of our hero, Takeru Kobayashi or his sport, competitive eating. Sure, his hot dog eating record was beaten a few weeks back, but he's still our hero, and we still admire his fitness in the face of his professional gluttony.

Tomorrow Seattle will have its own peek into the world of competitive eating, as Light in the Attic Records has made the genius move of scheduling a Top Pot doughnut eating contest to go along with The Saturday Knights' in-store. Seattlest won't be competing since we're strictly hot-dog focused in preparation for next year's Coney Island, but we fully support Light in the Attic's efforts to expand the reach of the sport.
