Guilty Pleasures Tonight
The last Guilty Pleasures was one of the funnest shows we went to last year, and we're not just saying that because we were a sponsor. For reals, it was awesome, and we weren't even feeling that guilty about some of the songs played. Ace of Spades? Not guilty! Or, we're guilty of not feeling any guilt over enjoying the hell out of it when someone on stage rocks Ace of Spades. In that case, guilty as charged. Allentown? It's guilty, it's a pleasure. Since You've Been Gone? Way guilty, total pleasure. Like last year, some of the bands on the bill are new to us and others are local standbys. This year there's the Young Sportsmen, Transmissionary 6, Stuporhero, Kristy Cameron, Pris, Life in a Blender and bunch of other fine bands. Last year a highlight for us was this accordion guy from Portland Mike Danner. He's fantastic and he's there again tonight. Check him out:
The hope is that this show will raise a little money for Eric Howk of the Lashes who was injured in an accident recently. His back, no less! Dammit. Ok, after the jump are a few hints as to what kind of songs will be played tonight at the High Dive. $7, y'all. Cheapest great time you'll have this week.
