    here's a radical idea for you;

    move.

    here's a radical alternative;

    get a different job.

    but, I'm sure you have a list of self serving reasons (excuses) why your school district, equity valuations, and two car garage is much more important.

    My excuse is that my job is in snohomish county and if I tried to use public transit to get to work, it would take about 2 hours by community transit bus plus a 1.5 mile walk.

    Face it, a lot of people use cars because our mass transit system doesn't get to a lot of places. It's good for short distances, e.g., going from capital hill to downtown or U District to downtown and good if you're using an express bus with few or no stops, but not very good for commuting long distances. We need a radical transformation and expansion of our transit system to encourage a lot usage.

    Not 83%, but oh 82.3% and .7% are just hella awesome.

    Seth -- you don't commute via bus.

    I agree, show some love to the bike riders, walkers, and that one dude I see on a segway.

  • Jesse

    But wait. The elitist bus riding pride somehow forgot the .005% of people that actually walk or bike to work.

    You know, the same .005% of the population that would rather do something else in the morning besides plug into the npr podcast and soak in a festering box of crowded self righteous isolation.
