Not All Seattle Suburbanites Are Losers Like Blake

Caitlin Snaring of Redmond (that is she, pictured above) won the National Geographic Bee yesterday. Snaring, who is home-schooled, estimated that she studied 60 hours a week to prepare for the competition.

It paid off--in two days of the Bee, she didn't miss a single question.

Snaring is the first girl to win the competition in 17 years.

    Um, there are many homeschoolers who are NOT Evangelicals or even Christians. I'm thrilled for this girl, no matter what her religion. She sounds bright and interesting.

    What's ridiculous is your ignorance of the influence and disinformation taught by the Evangelical Movement.

    I could care less where the person who won the geography bee came from.

    No- what's scary is people who can't be happy for a girl who just had a nice win for herself and her hometown, without resisting the urge to whack her over the head with their ridiculous biases.

    Homeschooling = Evangelical Nutjob. Scary.
