Are you ready to experience the form of government that gave us Socrates and Plato? Direct democracy is here, people, and all it takes is the flip of a dial.
If you haven't been listening to Movin' 92.5, you've been missing out on the only station with the guts to play Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" at least twice an hour. They also play Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It," and that one "to the left, to the left" song that Seattlest's niece really likes.
You've also been missing out on the chance to be a radio executive.
About, oh, a few months ago, the smooth sounds of Gregory Abbott faded out to a promo that said, and we paraphrase:
Would you like a morning show on 92.5? Text yes to (whatever number) for yes, text no to (whatever number) for no.Whoa! The inmates are running the asylum! Since then, we, the proud listeners of 92.5 who under no circumstances can get enough of Lady Marmalade with Mya, C. Aguilera and Pink, have been able to vote on whether we wanted the morning show to have lots of talk or just a little talk.
Now, we are voting on whether we want the host of our morning show to be a man or a woman.
We're not sure if this will be the end of the voting or not...we hope it's not: will we get to pick the gender of the sidekick? Or the ethnicity of the host? Or the theme music? The possibilities are endless. We're hoping that they let us vote who the host should be, because we can think of one guy who could definitely use the work.

Did you know on the Eastside they call seattle "the westside" isn't that fucking annoying?
I will say one thing for Movin', if'n I ever want to hear an En Vogue song (which is frequently, because I mean, what red blooded American woman doesn't?), Movin' satisfies that need within about eight songs. And for that, I salute them. God bless Movin'.
