Beg, Borrow Or Steal to Get Into Explosions In The Sky Tonight

That title sounds like so much hyperbole, but we're actually completely serious about this. We went to last night's Explosions in the Sky show at Neumos, figuring one night would be enough. We were wrong. The show was mentally exhausting, the band not stopping between songs, even incorporating guitar tuning as the quiet in their cinematic, stories-without-words quiet-loud-quiet soundscapes. However, when the show finished, we felt no sense of relief, and instead felt panic. Sure, we were fulfilled after the long wait (they were last scheduled to play in 2003 and the show got cancelled, as did their prior show), but we hadn't procured tickets to tonight's show, and we knew we had to be there. We've luckily since managed to get connected with some tickets, and we highly suggest that you do the same (CL doesn't look to be much help). We won't judge you if you have to go to questionable measures to get in - we were prepared to do so ourselves.
