Tampa Bay Bartenders Thrilled About Bucs Latest Signing
All-Pro Alcohol Consumer Jerramy Stevens will play football for Tampa Bay next season. The Buccaneers signed Stevens after the draft on Sunday (terms undisclosed) but not before having a little sit-down. "We had a very serious talk with him today," said GM Bruce Allen. "I think Jerramy Stevens is a good young man. He is focused on doing things right. More importantly, he has to do things right."
Not just a talk, not just a serious talk, but a VERY serious talk. Now why didn't Stevens' Bellevue condo neighbors think of that?
You know what though, let's not part on bitter terms. We'll keep one very positive memory of Stevens in our mind. In last year's divisional playoff vs. the Bears, on (if we remember right) Shawn Alexander's 13-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter that put the Hawks ahead, Stevens pancaked Brian Urlacher to clear Alexander's path to the end zone. Just flattened him. It was great. Mostly, Stevens was obnoxious and frustrating, but he had his moments.
