April Brews Day in Bellingham

waitress_beer.jpgIf you are looking for a road trip this weekend, you should think about checking out Bellingham on Saturday.
April Brews Day is a benefit being held at Depot Market Square in Bellingham. They will have at least 11 confirmed breweries attending to sling their tasty beers.

Featured Breweries:

Diamond Knot: This brewery from Mukilteo always has brews worth checking out. Their IPAs are definitely worth trying, especially if they happen to have their XXX IPA on tap.

Flyers: The Pacemaker Porter from this Oak Harbor brewery is pretty tasty. Plenty of roasted malt and chocolate flavors.

Boundary Bay: Once again, try the IPA from this local Bellingham brewer. You'll be happy you did. They also have a very good stout and a tasty ESB if you need to lay off the hops. You can also stop by the Boundary Bay brewpub earlier in the day for lunch and to get your growler filled with their Dunkles Bock, a seasonal specialty on tap right now which previously won a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival.

Also Attending:
Anacortes Brewery
Whatcom Brewery
Snoqualmie Falls
Skagit River
Rogue
Alpine Brewery

Uh yeah.. that would be since last summer.

When I did a web search on Whatcom Brewery on the web I remembered that I had heard of them before... I tried to find them once in Ferndale using their address listed in NW brewing news- unfortunately the address was for a house! My decision not to knock on the door means I've yet to try any of their brews. So if you get to try one report back!

I wonder how long Birdsview has been open?

    That's exactly right....looks like Whatcom is out in Ferndale, and Birdsview opened up last summer in Birdsview, WA out on Rt. 20;

I'd like to check them both out....

I've never heard of Whatcom or Birdsview. Same boat?

    Keep up the beer coverage.
