Sorry Miss Jackson, Ken Griffey Jr. Just Passed Your Husband (For Real)
Yesterday Ken Griffey Jr hit his 564th career home run, passing Reggie Jackson to take sole possession of tenth place on the all time home run list. This makes Seattlest very happy.
On the other end of that spectrum Alex Rodriguez finally owns the record that he was put on this earth to break—most home runs in April. Though he's 86 homers behind Griffey for his career (and will probably catch him in late May), A-Rod's matched Junior in career postseason homers with six--of course, A-Rod's had more than twice as many postseason ABs (132) as Griffey (59).
Next up for Griffey (we are not counting Rafael Palmeiro) will be Harmon Killebrew and his 573 home runs, as the march towards 600 continues.
