Hey Shawn - Thanks a ton for the review! The coffee comment made me laugh out loud... because, uh, I'd probably had too much coffee ;) For the record, I agree with you! Jim is a fabulous player who has had his feet firmly planted in the jazz world for over thirty years now. In my view, he's a widely under-recognized figure on the Seattle jazz scene. I invite players like Jim to join me on stage so that I can learn from them, have them mentor me and push me to better my own performances. Jim has been a great friend, teacher and co-conspirator for many years and I cherish the memories of the times we've performed together. As for myself, I'm just a few years into concentrating on mastering the intimidating art form of jazz guitar and I hope that some day I will have the same economy and weight of notes as Jim does.
