Stand Up, Sit Down, Fight Fight Fight

Haley's gone. Not surprising.

American Idol elimination rounds aren't really all that bloggable now that we think about it. Now that we think about it, maybe we'll refrain from blogging about them until Sanjaya inevitably gets kicked off, or wins.

Last night, in case you missed it, J-Lo brought the house down with her new Spanish-language single. We never thought we'd fall in mad love with J-Lo, but she managed to pull us over to the "other side." Apparently she pulled Sanjaya, too, because he made some silly remark about getting her number, "and we don't have to tell Mr. Marc Anthony about all that," he said, smiling at the camera in a way that's too dirty for a 17-year-old boy to get away with, without resulting in adults everywhere cringing and yelling "WTF?" at their TVs.

Ryan "the closet" Seacrest kept toying with Jaya, telling him to stand up and sit down, as if it might be the night he finally gets booted. The camera kept cutting to his sister and her big dorky boyfriend. The whole group of remaining contestants put on a very cruise-ship/up-with-people performance of "Bailamos." It was all very meh.

At any rate, Manjaya's still in the game, which doesn't surprise us a bit this week. Even less surprising is that Blake "the cake" Lewis is safe, as well. Way to represent Federal Way and Bothell, boys.

Since this recap was so lame, we'll give you this:
