To steal a line from Black Adder [adjusts glasses]: "It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better--but apart from that it was excellent."
Weaver was hit, and hit hard, and the only M's-related excitement in the game was provided by Jose Guillen, who apparently is going to go all Munich on every former Angel in the American League.
Weaver's incompetence earned him a spot in the top five worst Seattle sports debuts of all-time, which we compiled for the P-I. It was supposed to run in today's sports section, but got bumped into cyberspace by a Les Schwab tire ad. We think you'll like it--we're quite pleased with it.
Enough self-promotion...to the links!
