Recent Battles: Beckett's only faced the M's once--it was last April. He went seven innings, gave up six hits and one earned run, and got a win.
Our Best Weapon: Ben Broussard. Unequivocally. Broussard's homered in each of his two career at bats against Beckett.
The Internet Says: Beckett, as evidenced by his attempt to pick a fight with Ryan Howard last spring, is not exactly a candidate for MENSA membership. This was no secret in his home state--when he pitched in high school, a student from an opposing school taunted him with the sign "Hey Beckett, your ERA is higher than your GPA."
