Dino Rossi in the Minority, Again
The scoreboard at Everett Memorial Stadium will be incredibly accurate this season. Why? Because Dino Rossi is buying a minority share in the Aquasox, and he tends to get bitchy when people lose count.
Rossi will be making the announcement with fellow new minority owner Jay Buhner, where it’s a safe bet that Rossi will make sure that the two are seated.
This will complete Rossi's reverse-Bush résumé-- elected official, lost disputed election for higher office, owner of a baseball team. Are the keg stands and dodging military service next?
They may be, because Rossi hasn't decided whether or not he would like to be the shoo-in Republican nominee for governor next year. He hasn’t held elective office since 2003 so either he’s fed up with public service, only wants to be governor, or can’t make up his mind.
With the way he’s making speeches around the state he seems to be gearing up for a campaign, except when it comes to the most important feature--fund raising. In that department he is getting blown out of the water by Governor Gregoire, though we think that if he wanted to he could easily be raising cash by the barrel.
In all likelihood an announcement that he is running will probably come soon, in the meantime Rossi will help oversee his new ball team, where the give away nights are sure to suck.
