It's funny you mention that Donte because the Triple Door announcer made a big to-do about asking the crowd to shut off all phones, eat quietly, talk softly, and so forth before amiina came on. Then they didn't come on. About 20 minutes went by, the conversation level picked up, and the announcer came on again, asking us to quiet down and "give amiina the respect they deserve." I had an elementary school flashback for a second. But it worked. You could hear a pin drop. Or a fork.

the triple door is a much better venue for amiina than chop suey i'm certain. their music is far too quiet and delicate to really make sense in a venue where people are standing and heading to the bar. i wanted to like that chop suey show more than i did, but the venue worked against them.

Thanks for pointing that out, Bob. I think I've repatriated everyone. Geography is, sadly, not my strong point. I once submitted Boston as a state name in a trivia contest.

Amiina is Icelandic, not Norweigan, as is Sigur Ros.
