Breaking News: Wazzu Schedules Press Conference with Bennett

Via All Cougs, All the Time, Wazzu's athletic dept. announces a press conference at 3:15pm today with athletic director Jim Sterk and men's b-ball head coach Tony Bennett.

Since Bennett is appearing at the press conference, seems likely this is to announce a contract extension, not (as we'd hoped) that Bennett's decided to move up to the big time as the Huskies' new women's coach. (jk, Coug fans--we luv ya!)

We'll update this post as events warrant.

UPDATE (3:26 pm): KXLY reports that Wazzu and Bennett have agreed to a seven-year extension, terms not disclosed. We'll have quotes later if we can get them.
