Get Out

rod_stewart_180.jpgTHEATER: Hey, don't tell anyone, because this could really upset the natural order of things in town, but SPF:1 - No Protection is dangerously close to a fringe theater festival. Performing tonight are Keith Hitchcock, Mary Purdy, Jonah Von Spreecken all of Seattle.

7:30pm // Theater Off Jackson // $15

MOVIE: Fanboys have already crowned this CGI behemoth the greatest thing ever to play on a hundred billion screens this week. Is it too cliche to say "If you're going to see this in the theater, see it at Cinerama?" As if that's ever stopped us. The movie, of course, is 300.

7pm // Cinerama // SOLD OUT

MUSIC: It's New Music Monday at the High Dive in Fremont with Screwcap, Saccharine Music, and the slightly more upbeat Someone Band. Check out the MySpace links--this is a perfect Monday show.

9pm // The High Dive // $6

MUSIC: Or perhaps you would prefer Old Music Monday at Key Arena with Rod Stewart? For some reason we can't find Rod's MySpace page.

8pm // Key Arena // $54-95

300 is playing in IMAX, just not Seattle's IMAX. Lame.

300's also playing in IMAX, about the only way to one-up Cinerama.
