FESTIVAL: The first-ever (official) Lebowski fest in Seattle kicks things off at the Showbox. Tonight's the chubby dance-rock of the oft tighty-whitey-clad Har Mar Superstar and a screening of the Coen Brothers' classic. Tomorrow's bowling with The Dude at Kenmore Lanes. Wear your best bathrobe and pound some white Russians, or you'll be out of your element, Donny.

8pm doors // Showbox // $15

MUSIC: We still haven't gone to a show at the new all-ages DIY venue in the Atlas Clothing warehouse, but it's on our to-do list. Tonight's line-up is a mixture of local bands and out-of-towners: The Dead Science, Sholi, Marnie Stern, BARR, Parenthetical Girls, and the awesomely-named Pwrfl Power.

8pm // 1515 Broadway // $6

MOVIE: The Northwest Film Forum turns up the nerd quotient with the Seattle premiere of 8 BIT: A Documentary About Art And Videogames. Looking at the influence of videogames on culture (and vice versa), the film follows the cult of artists who treat Mario or Pac Man as their muse. The filmmakers are scheduled to attend the screenings tonight and tomorrow, so prepare your best Tetris-related question for the Q&A.

9pm // 1515 12th Ave. // $8.50

PARTY: The McLeod Residence continues its celebration of local "celebrities" with their Seattle Notables costume party. What better way to stroke the egos of needy, third-rate pseudo-personalities than by donning your officially licensed Ben Lashes Buncha Belts™? We'd go dressed as a jackass, but that would just be redundant.

8pm // 2209 2nd Ave. // $15
