Play Hooky With Seattlest On the 2nd Day of the NCAA Tourney
If there are a better two days in sports, or indeed in life, than the first two days of the NCAA basketball tournament, please tell us. Because sixteen games in one day, starting at 9am and ending about twelve hours later, with usually at least one upset scare, three down-to-the-wire games, and a buzzer-beating shot? Sweet mama, that is some good shit.
So--join us, Friday, March 16th, at Spitfire Grill in Belltown, where Seattlest Seth, a guy he works with, and whomever else wants to drop by shall enjoy $3 Buds and Rolling Rocks, and $5 Bloody Marys courtesy of the Spitfire's local-blog-loving management--until some #13-seed directional school ruins Seth's bracket, at which point he'll start attempting to blunt force traumatize himself on the Spitfire's lovely steel tables.
Giving you a heads up now so you can toss "doctor's appointment" on your Outlook schedule for the afternoon, or maybe even--as we will--take the whole damn day off. It really should be a holiday anyway.
