Get Out
READINGS: Jonathan Raban continues his all-out assault on the bookstores of Seattle with a reading tonight at the University Bookstore in support of Surveillance. How many times can we say it: Go.
7pm // University Bookstore // free
THEATRE/FUND RAISER: Book-It's raising the funds tonight at Seattle Center with a Guilty Pleasures style romp through material that people actually read, for a change. Not for the faint of wallet, however. Remember a few years ago when Book-It did Raban's Waxwings? Don't know about you, but we really enjoyed that.
6pm // Center House Theater // $125+
MUSIC: Siren's Sister has only a few more Seattle gigs before heading down to Austin, TX for some SXSW action. Pray they return to us and don't leave Seattle bobbing in their wake. Speaking of, Band of Horses used to have a gig scheduled for the Showbox tonight, but it was canceled long ago.
8pm // Chop Suey // $6
PHOTOGRAPHY: National Geographic photographers and naturalists Dereck and Beverly Joubert. The two will talk about buffalo and their sworn enemies, lions.
7:30pm // Benaroya Hall // (206) 624-5677 for ticket info
